When you run a test

Your browser connects directly to the chosen test server. The server sees your IP address to deliver traffic and temporarily limit concurrent tests. The website uses a session cookie for security and a short-lived keyed hash of your IP address to limit requests. The application does not request your name or documents and does not use third-party analytics or ISP lookup services.

Recent tests on your device

The last ten completed results are stored in this browser’s local storage. Clear them with “Clear history” on the test page or clear your browser’s site data.

Sharing a result

Results are sent to the website database only when you choose “Save & copy result link”. A shared record contains download, upload, ping, jitter, server name, location and time. It does not include your IP address. Anyone with the link can read it. Shared results expire after 90 days.

Hosting logs

The hosting provider and network operator may keep access or security logs, including IP addresses, under their own retention settings. The included node configuration disables routine request logging. Temporary test leases expire automatically.
